| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 2 | Remove overhead control panel control unit. | Model 223 with code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) |

| 3 | Unclip rear mirror base cover (1) with a suitable tool and remove. | ||
| 4 | Unclip rain and light sensor cover (2) and remove. | ||
| 5 | Disconnect electrical connector (5). | ||
| 6 | Remove electrical connector (5) from the bracket (6). | ||
| 7 | Remove belt strap of inside rearview mirror (A67) at roof frame. | Model 223 with code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) |

| 8 | Turn inside rearview mirror (A67) clockwise at the bore (4) in the mirror base with a suitable tool and remove from the mirror bracket. | ||
| 9 | Install in the reverse order. |
