We would like to inform you that a protection function is available for the 12 V on-board electrical system to prevent circuits.
Irrespective of the installation location of the 12 V on-board electrical system battery, there is no support for the 12 V on-board electrical system by the 48 V or high-voltage on-board electrical system while the hood or tailgate is open.
There can be deep discharging of the 12 V on-board electrical system battery if there is prolonged interruption of the power supply by the protective function and active consumers at the same time.
If the hood or tailgate or trunk lid is open for a long period of time, ensure a sufficient power supply to the 12 V on-board electrical system battery (more than 12.5 V) by means of a charger.
Otherwise, there may be damage in all on-board electrical systems.
Only refrain from the described procedure if the 12 V on-board electrical system is de-energized in accordance with the repair method in the event of a repair.
Do not invoice damage resulting from missing power supply to 12 V on-board electrical system battery through warranty and goodwill.
In this case, the person responsible bears the costs.
