General 

The armrest heating function can be used (depending on the equipment) to heat the front and/or the rear armrests in the vehicle. This includes the armrests in the front doors and the rear doors and the armrests in the front center console and the rear center console. The control unit of the respective door controls the heating for the door armrests, while the armrest heating control unit controls the heating in the center console.

Manual switching on and off: 

The armrests are heated only in combination with the seat heating. It is operated via the seat climate control switch group in the doors. The heating output can be adjusted to 3 different levels of intensity (100/65/35 % output). The armrest heating is monitored by temperature sensors in the corresponding heating element.

The armrest heating function can be configured via the multimedia system. The signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) saves the selected settings.

Time-controlled switch-off 

Time-controlled switch-off of the armrest heating takes place at the same time as the time-controlled switch-off of the seat heating.
