	Remove/install
1	Open hood.
2	Remove screws (2).	Bolt, front bumper to crossmember	*BA88.20-P-1006-01A
3	Lift vehicle with lifting platform.		AR00.60-P-1006A
4	Unclip wheel arch liner (3) on the left and right in the area of the front bumper (1).	Model 167 except code 772 (AMG styling - Front spoiler, side skirts) Work instructions must be strictly observed and do not separate adhesively bonded connections of wheel arch liners. Damage may occur otherwise. Only perform operation steps for releasing wheel arch liners (3) at front bumper (1).	AR88.80-P-0005ME
5	Remove bolts (4).
6	Remove nuts (5) and loosen all other screws of the front engine compartment lining (6).	Model 167 with code 430 (Offroad package) Model 167 with code 481 (Sump shield) Screws are installed instead of nuts (5). The front engine compartment lining (6) remains on the vehicle. 7	Remove Mercedes star.	Model 167 with code 233 (Adaptive cruise control Plus (DISTRONIC PLUS)) Model 167 with code 239 (Adaptive cruise control Pro (DISTRONIC PRO))	AR88.40-P-4053ME
8	Remove expansion rivets (7) on the right and left front fender liner (8).	Dismantling tool	Fig 2
9	Unscrew screws (11) from the right and left front fender liner (8).
10	Press right and left front fender liner (8) to the side and remove bolts of front bumper (1) located underneath.	There are, in each case, two screws on the left and right sides that connect the front bumper (1) with the front fender.
11	Remove front bumper (1) until the electrical connector (9) is accessible.
12	Detach electrical connection (9).	Aid of helper required.
13	Disconnect electrical connector (10).	Model 167 with code 501 (360° camera) Aid of helper required.
14	Release and disconnect electrical connectors at radar sensors in front bumper (1).	Model 167 with code 23U (Active Stop-and-Go Assist) Model 167 with code 292 (PRE-SAFE® Impulse Side) Aid of helper required.
15	Remove front bumper (1).
	Check
16	Check impact absorber for damage.
Notice	General information on the impact absorber		AH88.20-P-1000-01A
		If damage is present, ↓ Replace impact absorber.
17	Install in the reverse order.
18	Check, adjust gap dimensions at front bumper (1).		AR88.20-P-2001ME
	Calibrate
19	Calibrate 360° camera with diagnosis system.	Model 167 with code 501 (360° camera)

20	Calibrate Active Brake Assist controller unit with vehicle diagnosis system.	Model 167 with code 258 (Active Brake Assist System)
