Connecting Carrier On Firewall Installation - Ar62.25-P-1140-03MFX

Model 247.6/7 

The next steps are shown on model 247.6.

The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Insert reinforcement into the connecting carrier (1) and fix in place.
2. Drill rivet holes in the connecting carrier (1) with a diameter of 6.7 mm (areas A).

   Drill rivet holes through the pre-drilled holes on the connecting carrier (1) (areas A).

3. Remove reinforcement.
4. Deburr rivet holes on the connecting carrier (1) and on the reinforcement on both sides.
5. Remove drilling chips.

6. Apply 2-component adhesive to the reinforcement (2) in the cross-hatched area.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.

7. Insert reinforcement into the connecting carrier (1) and fix in place.
8. Rivet connecting carrier (1) with rivets with a diameter of 6.5 x 12.5 (areas B).

9. Install connecting carrier (1), fit, and fix in place.
10. Drill rivet holes on the connecting carrier (1) with a diameter of 6.7 mm (areas C₁ , C₂ , D, E).

    To be able to insert the rivet, the rivet hole must be displaced (area C₂ ).

    Drill rivet holes through present rivet holes in body (areas D).

    Drill rivet holes from the inside through the available holes in the body (areas E).

11. Remove connecting carrier (1).
12. Deburr rivet holes on connecting carrier (1) and body on both sides.
13. Remove drilling chips.
14. Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.

15. Install connecting carrier (1) and fix in place.
16. Rivet connecting carrier (1) with rivets with a diameter of 6.5 x 12.5 (areas F).
17. Rivet connecting carrier (1) with rivets with a diameter of 6.4 x 12 (areas G).
18. Rivet connecting carrier (1) with rivets with a diameter of 6.5 x 14.5 (areas H).
19. Rivet connecting carrier (1) with rivets with a diameter of 6.4 M6 (areas I).
20. Rivet connecting carrier (1) from the inside with rivets with a diameter of 6.5 x 12.5 (areas K).
21. Bend back connecting flanges (arrows).
