Tighten Connecting Rod Bolts - AR03.10-P-6111-02MR

Replace connecting rod bolts (2) after every use.

Otherwise, there is a danger of engine damage.

NOTES Do not use an impact wrench or compressed air tool to screw in the connecting rod bolts (2).

Otherwise the threaded holes may be damaged.

  1. Engine 260

    Measure length of connecting rod bolts (2).

    If the dimension of the connecting rod bolts (2) exceeds 38.4 mm,

    Install new connecting rod bolts (2).

  2. Wet thread and bolt head contact surfaces of the connecting rod bolts (2) with engine oil.
  3. Screw in connecting rod bolts (2) and tighten slightly by hand.
  4. Tighten connecting rod bolts (2) with the SPECIAL TOOL tightening angle with magnet Engine 133

    TORQUE SPECIFICATIONNOTES Observe tightening instructions.

    Engine damage will occur otherwise.

    IMPORTANT If no angle tightener is available, continue turning connecting rod bolts (2) with a socket wrench and breaker bar in one move by the specified angle. To exclude an angular error, do not use a bending rod torque wrench when tightening.
