Measure Piston Ring End Gap - AR03.10-P-7311-02MFC

CHECK VALUES FOR PISTON RINGS

  1. Clean cylinder barrel of cylinder liner (1) with suitable medium.
  2. Insert piston ring (2) in lower unworn area in cylinder barrel of cylinder liner (1) and align to cylinder liner (1).

    IMPORTANT Use a piston without piston rings for alignment.

  3. Measure end gap (arrow) on the piston ring (2) using a feeler gauge (3) and note result.

  4. Compare recorded values with values given in table

    If wear is identifiable on one piston ring (2):

    Replace all piston rings on the affected piston (2).
