The crankshaft bearing caps (1) are machined together with the crankcase (2) and must not be interchanged.
The crankshaft bearing caps (1) are numbered consecutively, beginning at the first crankshaft bearing cap (1) on the timing case. The numbers are located on the right as seen from the output side.
The crankshaft bearing caps (1) may only be installed in this position.

The crankshaft bearing caps (1) are machined together with the crankcase (2) and must not be interchanged.
The crankshaft bearing caps (1) are fitted in the side of the crankcase (2). The fit is off-centered with the result that the crankshaft bearing caps (1) may only be installed in one position. The marking (arrow) on the crankshaft bearing caps (1) points forwards in the direction of travel.
The crankshaft bearing caps (1) are numbered consecutively, beginning at the first crankshaft bearing cap (1) at the front of the timing case.

Do not swap the crankshaft bearing caps (1) with each other, as they are machined together with the crankcase.
The mating surfaces of the crankshaft bearing caps (1) are fitted with an offset into the side of the crankcase. As the fit is offset by 0.5 mm from the center of the crankshaft, the crankshaft bearing caps (1) can only be fitted in one position.

When installed correctly, the lug (1a) on the crankshaft bearing cap (1) points to the right, when viewed in the direction of travel.

The crankshaft bearing caps (1) are numbered consecutively, beginning at the first crankshaft bearing cap (1) at the front.

- Do not swap the crankshaft bearing caps (1, 2, 3, 4) amongst each other as they are machined together with the crankcase.
- The crankshaft bearing caps (1, 2, 3, 4) are fitted on the side in the crankcase and must be installed in the correct position.
- The crankshaft bearing caps (1, 2, 3, 4) are numbered consecutively beginning with the first crankshaft bearing cap (1) at the front.
- If the installation position is correct, the numbers on the crankshaft bearing caps (1, 2, 3, 4) can be read in the direction of travel (arrow A).

- Observe correct installation position when installing crankshaft bearing caps (1) and crankshaft fitted bearing cap (2). In the correct installation position the numbering (3) points in the direction of travel (arrow).
- The crankshaft bearing caps (1) and the crankshaft fitted bearing cap (2) are machined together with the crankcase and must not be interchanged.
- The crankshaft bearing caps (1) and the crankshaft fitted bearing cap (2) are consecutively numbered, starting at the output side of the crankshaft.

The crankshaft main bearings may only be installed in one position. In the correct installation position, the lug (arrow) on the crankshaft bearing cap points to the front (outlet side).
