1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th gear output shaft
The following special tools are required:
installer sleeve (01),
sleeve (02),
drift (03),
pliers.
An assistant is required for the entire work procedure.
Replace retaining rings (66, 73) after each removal.
- Install thrust plate (77) and needle bearing (76) onto output shaft (60).
- Press idler gear for 4th gear (75) and synchronizer unit (74) using
installer sleeve (01) onto output shaft (60).
When pressing on the synchronizer unit (74), hold the synchronizer ring in correct position using a suitable tool.
Otherwise, the synchronizer unit (74) may be damaged.
- Install snap ring (73).
- Install needle bearing (72) and idler gear for 2nd gear (71) onto output shaft (60).
- Position spacer ring (70) and needle bearing (69) onto output shaft (60).
- Press idler gear for 1st gear (68) and synchronizer unit (67) using
sleeve (02) onto output shaft (60).
When pressing on the synchronizer unit (67), hold the synchronizer ring in correct position using a suitable tool.
Otherwise the synchronizer unit (67) may be damaged.
- Install snap ring (66).
- Install needle bearing (65), idler gear for 5th gear (64) and ratchet wheel (63).
- Press rolling-element bearing (62) using
drift (03) onto output shaft (60).
- Install snap ring (61).
- Press rolling-element bearing (78) using
drift (03) onto output shaft (60).
Output shaft for 3rd, 6th, 7th and reverse gear
The following special tools are required:
pliers,
installer sleeve (01),
sleeve (02),
sleeve (03),
drift (04).
An assistant is required for the entire work procedure.
Replace retaining rings (85, 96) after each removal.
- Push needle roller bearing (99) onto output shaft (80) and install.
- Press synchronizer unit (97) and idler gear for 6th gear (98) using
installer sleeve (01) onto output shaft (80).
When pressing on the synchronizer unit (97), hold the synchronizer ring in correct position using a suitable tool.
Otherwise, the synchronizer unit (97) may be damaged.
- Install snap ring (96).
- Place axial needle roller bearing (95) onto synchronizer unit (97).
- Install needle bearing (94), spacer sleeve (92) and needle bearing (91) onto output shaft (80).
- Install idler gear for reverse gear (90) with synchronizer unit (93) onto output shaft (80).
- Place axial needle roller bearing (89) and bearing race (88) onto synchronizer unit (93).
- Press synchronizer unit (86) and idler gear for 3rd gear (87) using
sleeve (02) onto output shaft (80).
When pressing on the synchronizer unit (86), hold the synchronizer ring in correct position using a suitable tool.
The synchronizer unit (86) will otherwise be damaged.
- Install snap ring (85).
- Install needle bearing (84) and idler gear for 7th gear (83).
Install idler gear for 7th gear (83) into synchronizer unit (86).
- Press rolling-element bearing (82G) using
sleeve (03) onto output shaft (80).
- Install snap ring (81) using
pliers.
- Press roller-element bearing (82K) using
drift (04) onto output shaft (80).
