Adjusting window guide depth (a) of rear door side window (1) in roof edge seal (20)
- Close rear door.
- Insert a screwdriver (21) between the door paneling (22) and the rear door side window (1) and then into the setting screw (arrows C, D) for the window lifter (23).
- Adjust window guide depth (a) of rear door side window (1) into roof edge seal (20) by turning setting screws (arrows C, D).
Turning the setting screws (arrows C, D) clockwise results in a lowering of the rear door side window (1) at front.
Turning the setting screws (arrows C, D) counterclockwise results in a raising of the rear door side window (1) at front.
Taper of dimension (b) can change due to adjustment of window guide depth (a) of rear door side window (1) in roof edge seal (20).
- Check taper of dimension (b) using
feeler gauge.
A taper of dimension (b) of max. 1 mm is permitted from top to bottom.
With a taper larger than 1 mm, this must be adjusted within the tolerances by changing the window guide depth of rear door side window (1) in roof edge seal (20).
- Open rear door.
- Switch on ignition.
- Lower/raise rear door side window (1) several times to check the settling properties.
- Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (at least 2 m).
- Close rear door.
- Recheck window guide depth (a) of rear door side window (1) in roof edge seal (20).
If there is a problem,
