Separate And Connect Steering Coupling - AR46.10-P-8000-01MFA

Disconnect 

  1. Turn rack-and-pinion steering into center position and fix steering wheel in place using SPECIAL TOOL holding device.
  2. Remove retaining clip (1) and take out trim (2).
  3. Remove screw (3).
  4. Detach steering shaft (4) from steering gear (5).

    Connecting 

  5. Clean thread of steering shaft threaded connection (4) on steering gear (5).

    If a microencapsulated bolt (3) was installed.

  6. Connect steering shaft (4) to steering gear (5).
  7. Tighten screw (3) TORQUE SPECIFICATION .

    IMPORTANT Replace the screw (3).

  8. Insert trim (2), plug in retaining clip (1) and press together.
  9. SPECIAL TOOL Remove holding device from steering wheel.
