Retrofit Front Spoiler On Front Bumper - AZ88.20-P-0018-01MFC

  1. Center the front spoiler (1) and mark the installation position with an adhesive strip.

    IMPORTANT

    Ensure a uniform gap course.

  2. Cut the adhesive strip between the bumper and the front spoiler (1) (A).

  3. Slightly remove ends of protective foils (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, 1.11) of adhesive strips from front spoiler (1) and angle toward outer edge at a 45° angle.
  4. Fix angled protective foils (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, 1.11) to outside of front spoiler (1) using tape.
  5. Angle ends of protective foils (1.7) backward and fix to outside of front spoiler (1) using tape.

  6. Clean the bumper in the adhesive area.

    IMPORTANT

    The area to be glued must be free of dust and grease.

    IMPORTANT

    Aid of helper required for installing front spoiler (1).

  7. Position front spoiler (1) on the bumper, center, and lightly press on.

    IMPORTANT

    Align front spoiler (1) with edges of bumper (B).

    Ensure that the distance to the outer sides is the same on the left and right.

    The gap between the front spoiler (1) and the underfloor paneling must be uniform across the total width.

    NOTES

    Always observe sequence when removing protective foils (1.1 to 1.11) from adhesive strips on front spoiler (1).

    Otherwise, trouble-free removal of the protective foils (1.1 to 1.11) of the adhesive strips on the front spoiler (1) cannot be ensured.

  8. Remove protective foils (1.1, 1.2) of adhesive strip on front spoiler (1) in increments of 150 to 200 mm and lightly press on front spoiler (1).
  9. Remove protective foils (1.3, 1.4) of adhesive strip on front spoiler (1) in increments of 150 to 200 mm and lightly press on front spoiler (1).
  10. Remove protective foils (1.5, 1.6) of adhesive strip on front spoiler (1) and lightly press on front spoiler (1).
  11. Remove protective foils (1.7) of adhesive strip on front spoiler (1) from outer side to outer side and lightly press on front spoiler (1).
  12. Remove protective foils (1.8, 1.9) of adhesive strip on front spoiler (1) in increments of 150 to 200 mm and lightly press on front spoiler (1).
  13. Remove protective foils (1.10, 1.11) of adhesive strip on front spoiler (1) in increments of 150 to 200 mm and lightly press on front spoiler (1).
  14. Firmly press on front spoiler (1) starting from the center.

    NOTES When pressing on, ensure that the pressure is applied directly on the adhesive strips. The maximum adhesive strength is only reached after approx. 72 h at 20°C. Avoid any contact with moisture (e.g. rain, fog, frost, washing facility) or any mechanical stress within the first 24 h.

    Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

  15. Press the front spoiler (1) onto the bumper using a clean cotton rag, starting from the center.
  16. Tighten front spoiler (1) through the shackles using screws (2).

    IMPORTANT

    The screws (2) are self tapping and included in the parts kit.
