To attach the rear spoiler (1), a helper is necessary.
- Install rear spoiler (1) on trunk lid (2), center and mark position with adhesive tape (3).
The distances between the rear spoiler (1) and the outer edges of the trunk lid (2) must be uniform.
Align the rear spoiler (1) depending on the shape of the trunk lid (2) as well as the upper radius of the edge of the trunk lid (2). The rear spoiler (1) must have been aligned on the trunk lid (2) in such a way that it runs uniformly over the entire length of the trunk lid (2).
- Cut adhesive tapes (3) in gap between rear spoiler (1) and trunk lid (2).
When cutting adhesive tape (3), ensure that the surface of the rear spoiler (1) and trunk lid (2) is not damaged.
Otherwise this could lead to visual impairment of the component surfaces or corrosion on the trunk lid (2).
- Remove rear spoiler (1) and clean the trunk lid (2) in the crosshatched area.
Do not remove adhesive strips (3).
The area on the trunk lid to be glued must be free of dust and grease.
Observe manufacturers instructions.
- Slightly remove ends of protective foils (1.1, 1.2 and 1.3) from adhesive strips on rear spoiler (1) and angle 45° towards outer edge.
- Fix protective foils (1.1, 1.2 and 1.3) in place with adhesive tape (1.4) at outside of rear spoiler (1).
- Install rear spoiler (1) on trunk lid (2) and align it using the previously attached masking tapes (3).
- Remove protective foils (1.1) from inside toward outside in increments and firmly press on rear spoiler (1) gradually.
Permanently check whether rear spoiler (1) is correctly aligned while removing protective foils (1.1). It is no longer possible to reposition after bonding.
When pressing on, ensure that the pressure is applied directly on the adhesive point. The maximum adhesive strength is only reached after approx. 72 h at 20°C. Avoid any contact with moisture (e.g. rain, fog, frost, washing facility) or any mechanical stress within the first 24 h.
Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
First remove rear protective foils (1.1) and align rear spoiler (1) according to radius of trunk lid (2).
Do not remove protective foils (1.1) all at once.

To increase processing reliability when installing rear spoiler (1), conclude by pressing rear spoiler (1) down on trunk lid (2) using clean cotton rag, starting center.
- Remove adhesive tape (3).
