A helper is required for the complete work procedure.
Check tensioning device for completeness.
The mount (01), mount (02), retaining pins (03) with locking clips (03.1), spindle (04), threaded rod (05), adjusting sleeves (06) and compensating elements (07, 08) are required.
- Position (01) support on spring link (10), insert retaining pins (3) and lock locking clips (3.1).
Position retaining pins (03) diagonally from each other. Otherwise the mount (01) does not contact the spring link (10) cleanly.
The direction of arrow (A) of the mount (01) must face the outside of the vehicle.
- Connect compensating elements (07, 08) with each other.
- Place compensating elements (07, 08) on the rear axle spring (11) and align in center.
Ensure that the compensating elements (07, 08) are inserted centrally in the rear axle spring (11) and are correctly positioned.
- Insert threaded rods (05) through mount (02) and mount (01) and screw into the compensating elements (07, 08) up to end stop.
- Screw spindle (04) through mount (02) until spindle (04) lightly contacts mount (01).
Ensure sufficient distance from mount (01) to mount (02) (as shown in picture P32.20-2345-06).
- Screw in adjusting sleeves (06) until the mount (01) correctly rests on the spring link (10).
- Ensure that the compensating elements (07, 08) are positioned centrally in the rear axle spring (11).
- Turn spindle (04) and tension rear axle spring (11) until the rear axle spring (11) has no contact with the spring retainer insert.
Do not use an impact wrench.
Otherwise the
tensioning device or the rear axle spring (11) may be damaged.
