The following conditions must be observed when checking the oil level in the oil reservoir:

  1. The vehicle must be on its wheels.
  2. The check must be performed in a ready-to-drive condition:
    • Vehicle ready for use with oil and coolant reservoirs filled.
    • Fuel tank filled, if necessary, compensate for missing fuel by means of additional weight in trunk.
    • Spare tire and vehicle tool kit in vehicle.
    • Vehicle unloaded. Remove any luggage, fuel canisters etc. from the vehicle.

IMPORTANT

For vehicles with level control/ADS the oil level in the oil reservoir in a laden vehicle can also drop below the "min." marking on the oil dipstick.
