WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove the cap (7) from the low-temperature circuit coolant expansion reservoir. IMPORTANT Slowly remove the cap (7) and release the overpressure.  
2 Remove bottom engine compartment lining.   AR61.20-P-1105MFR
3 Remove screws (3, 6) and remove covers (4).    
4 Remove expansion rivets (5). SPECIAL TOOL Clip remover Fig 4
5 Remove screws (2) and remove support (1).    
  Drain off     
6 Remove the coolant hose (8) from the low-temperature circuit circulation pump and drain off the coolant into a suitable container.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
    IMPORTANT Observe regulations for disposal of coolant.
IMPORTANT Commercially available devices/tools Coolant collection container
 
  Pour in     
7 Attach the coolant hose (8) to the low-temperature circuit circulation pump.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
8 Pour in the coolant, bleed the low-temperature circuit, check the coolant and antifreeze level and top up if necessary.   AR20.00-P-1142-04A

INSPECT Check     
9 Check low-temperature circuit for leak tightness.   AR09.41-P-1011MFC 
INSTALLING Install     
10 Install the support (1) and screw in the screws (2).    
11 Install the covers (4) and screw in the screws (3, 6).    
12 Install expansion rivets (5).    
13 Install lower engine compartment lining.   AR61.20-P-1105MFR
