Removal and Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Ford F550 Super Duty and 2010 Ford F450 Super Duty. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the 2 screws under the shift lever boot and slide the shift boot back, unseating it from the front tab.

  2. Slide the upper shifter boot assembly up the shift handle to access the 2 shift handle bolts.
      NOTE: Apply threadlock to the bolt threads during installation.
    • Remove the 2 shift handle bolts and lever.
      • To install, tighten to 28 Nm (21 lb-ft).

  3. Remove the 4 bolts and the lower gearshift lever.
    • To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).

  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
