WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Ford Pickup, 2009 Ford F550 Super Duty, 2009 Ford F450 Super Duty, and 2009 Ford Cab & Chassis. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

To enter the IC dealer test mode, press and hold the trip odometer reset button (base IC ) or the message center RESET button (message center IC). Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position and continue to hold the trip odometer reset button or RESET button until the display indicates ENGINEERING TEST MODE, usually within 3 to 5 seconds. Press the trip odometer reset button or RESET button once to advance through each stage of the self-test.

To exit the IC dealer test mode, press and hold the trip odometer reset button or the RESET button for more than 3 seconds or simply turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

NOTE: After exiting a dealer test mode session, it is necessary to record and clear all IC DTCs. Carry out the IC and PCM self-tests. Clear all DTCs, if DTC B2658 is present in the IC after the self-test, go to DTC Charts .

NOTE: The displays listed in INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) DEALER TEST MODE  table use xxx's to represent a numeric or alpha-numeric value or a text display.
