Manual Transmission
- Fretted or Broken Input Shaft - Shaft fretting at the clutch splines and torsional fracture originating at the drive gear splines or lube holes.
- Broken Gear Teeth - Highly used gears, like the headset, overdrive, auxiliary drive, and splitter gears, experience a great deal of high-cycle fatigue due to torsional dynamics.
- Fretted or Broken Sliding Clutch Mechanisms - When this occurs, the high side of the range clutch experiences aggravated loading and the clutch mechanism frets to failure. The mating splines from the auxiliary drive gear and main shaft are also affected.
- Broken Synchro Pins - High inertial loads from driveline dynamics cause excessive pin loading and resulting breakage.
