1	Lift vehicle with lifting platform.

2	Assess wear pattern of tires on front and rear axle.	Greater wear at the shoulder compared to the center of the tire is normal for the front wheel-and-tire assemblies. On the tires of the rear wheel-and-tire assemblies the wear at the center of the tread depth is mostly somewhat more pronounced than at the tire shoulders. If an unusual wear pattern is present, ↓ rectify problem. After obtaining special order.
3	Assess tire tread depths of tires on front and rear axle.	The major tread must have a minimum tread depth of at least 1.6 mm (0.06") along its entire circumference. Assess tire tread depth at point of greatest wear. Assess the tread depth on the outside, inside and at the center of the main tread using the tread wear indicators (TWI). The height of the treadwear indicators is 1.6 mm (0.06"). For safety reasons, replace tires before they reach the minimum tread depth. Summer tire with approx. 3 mm (0.12') tire tread depth. Winter tire with approx. 4 mm (0.16") tire tread depth. The cited tire tread depths apply for the Federal Republic of Germany. Observe other country-specific requirements accordingly. If the minimum tread depth is reached, ↓ replace the tire. After obtaining special order.
4	Check manufacturing date of tires on front and rear axle.	If manufacturing date is more than 6 years ago: ↓ for safety reasons, replace the tires. After obtaining special order.

5	Lower vehicle.
