Model all 

• Do not let the brake fluid get in touch with the vehicle paint because its components may dissolve the paint. The surfaces affected by brake fluid must be immediately washed thoroughly with clean water.
• Brake fluid is highly hygroscopic, meaning that it absorbs air moisture, which reduces its boiling point; for this reason it is to be kept solely in tightly closed original containers.
• The brake fluid color range goes from colorless to yellow, what makes it easy for it to be mistaken with other mineral oils. The mineral oil mixed with the brake fluid, even in small amounts, produces the deformation of the rubber pieces, rendering the whole system useless. For this reason the brake fluid must be used from its original containers only and stored away from mineral oils and other liquids.

If the presence of mineral oil is found out in the system, follow the steps below:

1. A  - Replace the main cylinder.
2. B  - Wash completely the system with new brake liquid.
3. C  - Replace all components that utilize rubber made parts and that have had contact with mineral oil, such as: brake shoe linings, wheel brake cylinders, flexible pipes, ALB valves. ABS/ASR hydraulic units, etc.
4. D  - Bleed the air of the system.

• Do not reuse the brake fluid after its removal, because it is subject to waste disposal laws as being a dangerous waste product. It must be collected separately from other residual materials and forwarded to recycling units or to be eliminated by authorized companies.
