Due to recent events we would like to notify you of the following: If vehicles with code JA9 (Traffic Sign Assist) are subsequently registered with a weight variant ≤ 3,500 kg (if the weight variant ex factory > 3,500 kg), the display of the Traffic Sign Assist in the instrument cluster can be adapted in accordance with valid car registration regulations.

However, this control is only permissible if the codes X2R (Mandatory camper van modification by body manufacturer)  and Z2E (National version EU - EFTA)  are recorded in the vehicle data card and the permissible gross mass has actually been adjusted in the motor vehicle registration certificate.

For this purpose, the code "OC4 (TRAFFIC SIGN ASSIST DISPLAY FOR M1SA <3.5T REGISTRATION)"  must be entered in Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc).

Attach note "TRAFFIC SIGN ASSIST DISPLAY FOR M1 SA <3.5T REGISTRATION (code OC4) retrofitted as per SI54.30-D-0030A " and "Entry of load capacity reduction ≤ 3500 kg checked in motor vehicle registration certificate part 1 and 2" under Field Organization Texts to Design Group 54. SCN coding of the control unit for the multifunction camera (B84/13) must subsequently be performed (see AR54.21-D-0015TS ).
