Service Information: Testing A 12 V Battery With XENTRY Diagnosis - Si54.10-D-0074SG

We would like to inform you that the 12V on-board electrical system battery test is conducted using XENTRY Diagnosis for the above-mentioned models. This is as a successor to the Midtronics battery test device.
The starting point is via the SAM control unit (N10) under the "Special procedures" tab.
The operation steps must be performed exactly as per XENTRY Diagnosis.
Auxiliary batteries with cold test current details must still be checked using the Midtronics battery test device. However, auxiliary batteries without cold test current details (such as Emergency-P battery (G1/13)) cannot be tested using the Midtronics. On these only the voltage can be checked.
The 12V on-board electrical system battery test using XENTRY Diagnosis is not intended for lithium-ion batteries.
Always use the latest version of XENTRY Diagnosis.
