Model 907
with code G42 (7G-TRONIC PLUS)
Model 907
with code G43 (9G-TRONIC)
We would like to notify you here of the procedure for disconnecting the on-board electrical system battery from the above-mentioned vehicles.
IMPORTANT:
If the battery master switch (code E30) is disconnected or if the onboard electrical system battery is disconnected, then in the driver's seat fuse holder (F55/4) the fuse F32 (electronic ignition lock control unit (EZS)) has to be removed (see GF54.15-D-1257-11TSA assignment of seatbase fuse holder).
If this procedure is not observed, the Emergency-P battery (automatic transmission park pawl) will be discharged by the EIS [EZS] control unit and, this may lead to a defective Emergency-P battery through deep discharging.
This is not necessary in the hibernation mode (idle mode).
NOTE:
When commissioning the vehicle it must be assured that an intact 10 A fuse is fitted to fuse slot 32 of the driver's seat fuse holder (F55/4).
