The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.
The higher-level service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.
- Install, fit and fix in place rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1).
- Drill rivet holes in rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1) with Ø 6.7 mm (areas A, B).
Drill rivet holes through existing holes in body (area B).
- Countersink rivet holes (area B).
- Remove rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1).
- Deburr rivet holes at rear lamp reinforcement (2), connecting panel (1) and body on both sides.
- Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.
- Install and fix in place rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1).
- Rivet rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1) with countersunk-head rivets Ø 6.4x14.0 (area C).
- Rivet rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1) with rivets Ø 6.4x12 (areas D).
- Rivet connecting panel (1) with rivet Ø 6.5x12.5 (area E).
