For post-repair refinishing complaints it is assumed that the prescribed materials are used as per the paint manufacturer guidelines and processing specifications. Apart from this, the paint foreperson shall also have been convinced that all the parameters were within tolerance, and therefore any defects in workmanship can be ruled out.
Many paintwork defects, for example from dirt entrapment, overspray, paint runs and loss of gloss, can be rectified through cost-effective polishing work (meaning without paintwork rectification).
Complaints may arise:
- In connection with the original paintwork (especially if there are color deviations).
- Concerning the paintwork on original parts.
- In connection with (problems with) the materials.
On clearcoat systems with higher scratch resistance be sure to follow the instructions provided (service information).

In the event of customer complaints about faulty paintwork that are to be remedied under warranty or as goodwill, prior approval must be obtained by the Market Performance Center (MPC).
