| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Open tailgate. | ||
| 2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 3 | Unclip cover (2) and remove. | ||
| 4 | Unclip covers (3) and remove. | ||
| 5 | Carefully remove seal (1) all around the liftgate. | Do not use any lubricant. Otherwise leakage can occur later. |

| Clean | |||
| 6 | Clean body flange. | Assembly cleaner | *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A |
| 7 | Install in the reverse order. |
