| 2 | Pry radial shaft sealing ring (1) out of front axle differential using remover. | Do not damage the seating surface of the radial shaft sealing ring (1) in the front axle transmission. Otherwise leaks may occur. |

| 3 | Check sitting surface of radial shaft sealing ring (1) in front axle differential for damage. | If damage is found, ↓ Replace front axle differential. |

| 4 | Moisten sealing lip of radial shaft sealing ring (1) with transmission oil. | ||
| Universal hypoid gear oils (specification 235.7) | Do not oil sitting surfaces in front axle differential and on radial shaft sealing ring (1). Otherwise leaks may occur. |
