Remove/Install Rear Axle Level Sensor - AR82.10-P-0005ME

Model 167 With Code 489 (AIRMATIC Dual Control/semi-active air suspension) 

Model 167 With Code 613 (headlights left-hand-traffic)

DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).    
2 Remove right or left rear wheel and tire assembly.   AR40.10-P-1102ME
3 Remove trim from transverse control arm (5).    
4 Release and disconnect electrical connector (2) from left rear level sensor (B22/7) or from right rear level sensor (B22/10).    
5 Remove screw (3) from holder (4). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Make sure that the retaining lug of the holder (4) is correctly positioned in the transverse control arm (5).
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, linkage holder to transverse control arm
*BA82.10-P-1001-02H 
6 Remove screws (6) and remove left rear level sensor (B22/7) or right rear level sensor (B22/10). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Do not twist left rear level sensor (B22/7) or right rear level sensor (B22/10).
Pay attention to installation position.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, level sensor to rear axle carrier
*BA82.10-P-1003-02H 
7 Install in the reverse order.    
  Calibrate     
8 Calibrate left rear level sensor (B22/7) or right rear level sensor (B22/10) using vehicle diagnosis system. If the left rear level sensor (B22/7) or right rear level sensor (B22/10) has been replaced.  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06ME
INSPECT Check     
9 Check headlamp adjustment and correct if necessary. If the left rear level sensor (B22/7) or right rear level sensor (B22/10) has been replaced.  
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP82.10-P-8260Q
