Remove/Install Ignition Coils Of Right Cylinder Bank - AR15.12-P-2009MNP

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove control unit bracket.   AR07.08-P-7016MNP
2 Disconnect cable tie from bracket (6). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace cable tie.  
3 Remove vacuum line (8) from vacuum pump and place to one side. During replacement of cylinder 3+4 ignition coil (T4/1).  
4 Remove screw/bolts (4). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, ignition coil to cylinder head cover *BA15.10-P-1001-04D 
5 Detach cylinder 1+2 ignition coil (T4) upwards and remove. IMPORTANT Cylinder 1+2 ignition coil (T4) and spark plug connectors form a unit and can be removed together only.  
6 Detach cylinder 3+4 ignition coil (T4/1) upwards and remove. IMPORTANT Cylinder 3+4 ignition coil (T4/1) and spark plug connectors form a unit and can therefore be removed together only.  
INSPECT Check     
7 Check cylinder 1+2 ignition coil (T4) and cylinder 3+4 ignition coil (T4/1) for damage. When cylinder 1+2 ignition coil (T4) and cylinder 3+4 ignition coil (T4/1) are re-used If damage is present,

replace cylinder 1+2 ignition coil (T4) and cylinder 3+4 ignition coil (T4/1).
 
8 Discharge approx. Apply about 1 g of spark plug connector grease to the spark plug connector. NOTES
To reduce the withdrawal and attachment forces the spark plug connector grease must be applied.
Otherwise the spark plug connectors will be damaged upon renewed removal

9 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
WARNING Risk of burn injuries,  suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
10 Conduct engine test run while checking for proper operation of the engine.
