Remove/Install Ignition Coils Of Right Cylinder Bank - AR15.12-P-2009MNO

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove right air filter housing.   AR09.10-P-1152MNO
2 Release and disconnect electrical connector (1) of cylinder 1+2 ignition coil (T4).    
3 Remove screw (2). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, engine wiring harness holder to right heat shield *BA15.18-P-1007-01G 
4 Remove screw (9) and place cable duct (3) to one side. TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, engine wiring harness to cylinder head cover *BA15.18-P-1001-01G 
5 Remove screws/bolts (4). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, ignition coil to cylinder head cover *BA15.10-P-1001-04D 
6 Detach cylinder 1+2 ignition coil (T4) upwards and remove. IMPORTANT Cylinder 1+2 ignition coil (T4) and spark plug connectors form a unit and can only be removed together.  
7 Disconnect cable tie (5). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Replace cable tie (5).  
8 Remove vacuum line (6) from vacuum pump, seal openings with suitable stop plugs and place vacuum line (6) to one side. SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 2
9 Release and disconnect electrical connector (7) of cylinder 3+4 ignition coil (T4/1).    
10 Remove screws (8). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, ignition coil to cylinder head cover *BA15.10-P-1001-04D 
11 Detach cylinder 3+4 ignition coil (T4/1) upwards and remove. IMPORTANT Cylinder 3+4 ignition coil (T4/1) and spark plug connectors form a unit and can only be removed together.  
INSPECT Check     
12 Check cylinder 1+2 ignition coil (T4) and cylinder 3+4 ignition coil (T4/1) for damage. If they will be reused.
If damage is present,

Replace cylinder 1+2 ignition coil (T4) and/or cylinder 3+4 ignition coil (T4/1) with spark plug connectors.
 
13 Discharge approx. Apply about 1 g of spark plug connector grease to the spark plug connector. NOTES Apply spark plug connector grease to reduce pull-off and attachment forces Spark plug connectors will otherwise be damaged the next time they are removed. Spark plug connector grease *BR00.45-Z-1102-06A 
14 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
WARNING Risk of burn injuries,  suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
15 Conduct engine test run while checking for proper operation of the engine.
