Center Roof Paneling Prepare For Installation - Ar65.10-P-1000-03ME

except code 413 (Automatic panoramic sliding sunroof) 

The following operation steps are shown on model 167.1 except code 414 (Sliding roof).

The higher-level service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Prepare bonding surfaces on insides of center roof paneling (1) in cross-hatched areas (areas A).

   Observe processing specifications of adhesive.

2. Grind mating surfaces in remaining cross-hatched areas on insides down to bare metal.

   Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

3. Remove grinding dust.
4. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

   Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (areas B).

   Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

5. Prepare bonding surfaces on inside of center roof paneling (1) in cross-hatched areas (areas C).

   Observe processing specifications of adhesive.
