| 2 | Using suitable means, mark installation position of all detachable parts on rear axle spring (1) relative to each other, relative to body and relative to lower control arm (2). | ||
| 3 | Remove cover (11) from transverse control arm on left and right. | ||

The tensioning device (3a) must not be tensioned or released using a pneumatically o electrically powered tool. Otherwise damage will occur. |

| 6 | Disengage catch hooks (arrows), and remove rear axle spring (1) together with tensioning device (3a) and clamping plates (3b, 3c). | Fig 2 | |

| 9 | Remove lower spring retainer (5), upper spring retainer (4) and spring seat (10) and check for wear or damage. | In the event of a problem, ↓ Replace corresponding component. |

| 10 | Adjust vehicle level by detaching spring seat (10) from upper spring retainer (4) and - depending on the change request - removing or adding shims (8). | ||

| 11 | Tension rear axle spring (1) with tensioning device (3a) and clamping plates (3b, 3c) and position between lower control arm (2) and upper spring retainer (4). | The tensioning device (3a) must not be tensioned or released using a pneumatically or electrically powered tool.
