TAILLAMP Reinforcement Separate - Ar63.20-P-2011-01ME (Model 167.1)

Model 167.1 

The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.

The higher-level service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Expose spot welds on water drain plate (1) and cut out (areas A).
2. Expose spot welds on water drain plate (1) and drill with a 6.5 mm diameter bit (area B).
3. Expose laser-welded seam on water drain plate (1) and cut out (area C).
4. Remove water drain plate (1).

5. Expose spot welds on rear lamp reinforcement (2) and cut out (areas D).
6. Expose spot welds on rear lamp reinforcement (2) and drill with a 6.5 mm diameter bit (area E).
7. Remove rear lamp reinforcement (2).

   To remove the rear lamp reinforcement (2), the flanges of the rear fender must be bent open.

8. Sand down mating surfaces to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

9. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
10. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
