TAILLAMP Reinforcement Install And Weld In - Ar63.20-P-2011-03MEC (Model 167.3)

Model 167.3 

The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.

The higher-level service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Install, fit and fix in place rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1).
2. Drill rivet holes in rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1) with Ø 6.7 mm (areas A, B).

   Drill rivet holes through present rivet holes in body (areas B).

3. Countersink rivet holes (areas B).
4. Drill out connecting panel (1) on the inside with a diameter of 8 mm by one panel thickness (area C).
5. Remove rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1).
6. Deburr rivet holes at rear lamp reinforcement (2), connecting panel (1) and body on both sides.
7. Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.

8. Install and fix in place rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1).
9. Rivet rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1) with rivets with a diameter of 6.4 x 12 (areas D).
10. Rivet rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1) with rivets with a diameter of 6.5 x 12.5 (areas C₂ ).
11. Rivet rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1) with countersunk-head rivets with a diameter of 6.4 x 14.0 (areas E₁ ).
12. Rivet rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1) with countersunk-head rivet with a diameter of 6.4 x 15.5 (area E₂ ).
13. Connecting panel (1) (area G).
14. Connecting panel (1) on the inside (area F).
15. Rear lamp reinforcement (2) and connecting panel (1) (areas H).
