Inner Side Wall With Rear Outer Wheelhouse Partial Removal - Ar63.10-P-6050-01MEX (Model 167.9)

Model 167.9 

IMPORTANT The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.

The higher-level service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

  1. Model 167.9

    with code M036 (Maybach version)

    Expose spot welds on reinforcement (2) and cut out (areas D).

  2. Model 167.9

    Remove reinforcement (2).

  3. Mark separating points on inner side wall (1) and cut (areas A, B).

    NOTES Do not make the cuts too deep.

    Otherwise the components behind can be damaged and weakened.

    IMPORTANTDimensions: 

    a = approx. 90 mm

    b approx. 40 mm

  4. Bend open sheet metal lug (arrow).
  5. Remove inner sidewall (1).
  6. Expose spot welds on inner side wall (1) and cut out (areas C).
  7. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

  8. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
  9. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
