| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 2 | Remove center liftgate trim. | AR72.20-P-6618MFA | |
| 3 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (3). | ||
| 4 | Remove screw/bolts (2). | ||
| 5 | Remove nut (4). | ||
| 6 | Remove inner left rear lamp unit (E3/1) or inner right rear lamp unit (E4/1) from liftgate. | ||
| 7 | Check seal of inner left rear lamp unit (E3/1) or inner right rear lamp unit (E4/1) for damage. | If the seal of the inner left rear lamp unit (E3/1) or inner right rear lamp unit (E4/1) is damaged, ↓ Install new gasket. |

| 8 | Install in the reverse order. |
