| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Switch off exterior lighting. | ||
| 2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| Remove low beam bulb | |||
| 3 | Move front wheels in end stop position, left or right. | ||
| 4 | Open service flap in fender liner on front axle at left or right. | ||
| 5 | Release and remove cap (2) from lamp unit at front left (E1) or lamp unit at front right (E2). | ||
| 6 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (6) from left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2). | ||
| 7 | Turn base (5) in direction of arrow (arrow C) and remove. | If the left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2) have to be replaced. Do not touch glass bulb of left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2) with your bare fingers; use a soft cloth free of oil and grease. Otherwise, the glass bulb will be damaged. |

| 8 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
| Remove high beam bulb | |||
| 9 | Open hood. | ||
| 10 | Release and remove cap (3) from lamp unit at front left (E1) or lamp unit at front right (E2). | ||
| 11 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (8) from left high beam (E1e1) or right high beam (E2e1). | ||
| 12 | Turn base (7) in direction of arrow (arrow D) and remove. | ||
| 13 | Pull left high beam (E1e1) or right high beam (E2e1) out of base (7). | If the left high beam (E1e1) or right high beam (E2e1) have to be replaced. Do not touch glass bulb of left high beam (E1e1) or right high beam (E2e1) with your bare fingers; use a soft cloth free of oil and grease. Otherwise, the glass bulb will be damaged. |
