| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Adjust steering column upward. | ||
| 2 | Move left front seat all the way to the rear. | ||
| 3 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 4 | Unscrew screws (2). | ||
| 5 | Carefully pull trim (1) downward until electric lines are accessible. | ||
| 6 | Remove screw (3) and remove hood lock release (4) from trim (1). | Fig 1 | |
| 7 | Unhook hood cable from the hood lock release (4) and remove hood lock release (4) from vehicle. | ||
| 8 | Release lock (8) from diagnostic connector (X11/4) and push diagnostic connector (X11/4) through and up. | ||
| 9 | Release electrical connector from footwell lamp and disconnect. | ||
| 10 | Release electrical connector of the speaker (6) and disconnect. | ||
| 11 | Remove electrical wiring harness from trim (1) (arrow C). | ||
| 12 | Unclip electrical plug socket (5) from trim (1) (arrows D). | ||
| 13 | Remove trim (1) from vehicle. | ||
| 14 | Install in the reverse order. |
