Remove/Install Bottom Paneling For Dashboard On Driver Side - AR68.10-P-1501MFA

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Adjust steering column upward.    
2 Move left front seat all the way to the rear.    
3 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).    
4 Unscrew screws (2).    
5 Carefully pull trim (1) downward until electric lines are accessible. IMPORTANT Observe guides (arrow B).  
6 Remove screw (3) and remove hood lock release (4) from trim (1). SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 1
7 Unhook hood cable from the hood lock release (4) and remove hood lock release (4) from vehicle.    
8 Release lock (8) from diagnostic connector (X11/4) and push diagnostic connector (X11/4) through and up.    
9 Release electrical connector from footwell lamp and disconnect.    
10 Release electrical connector of the speaker (6) and disconnect.    
11 Remove electrical wiring harness from trim (1) (arrow C).    
12 Unclip electrical plug socket (5) from trim (1) (arrows D). IMPORTANT Do not disconnect electrical plug socket (5).  
13 Remove trim (1) from vehicle.    
14 Install in the reverse order.
