Side Longitudinal Member Paneling Complete Remove - Ar63.30-P-1041-01MFX

Model 247.6/7 

The next steps are to be performed on model 247.6 on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle.

The higher-level service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Mark separating points on the side longitudinal member paneling (1) and cut (areas A, B, C).

   Do not make the cuts too deep.

   Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.

   

   Dimensions:

   c = approx. 60 mm

2. Expose spot welds on the side longitudinal member paneling (1) and cut off (areas D).

3. Heat side longitudinal member paneling (1) in the cross-hatched areas.

   

   Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.

4. Remove side longitudinal member paneling (1).

5. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   

   Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

6. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
7. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
