The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.

1. Expose spot welds on reinforcement (2) and cut off (areas D_1a , D_2a , D_3a , D_4a , D_5a , D_6a , D_7a , and D_8a ).
2. Warm up reinforcement (2) in the cross-hatched area.

   

   Cross-hatched area is bonded.

3. Remove reinforcement (2).
4. Drill spot welds on mounting support (7) with a diameter of 6.2 mm (area E_1a ).
5. Remove mounting support (7).
6. Grind bores and spot welds down to bare metal on main floor (1).
7. Remove drill chips and shavings.
