	Remove
1	Move driver's and front passenger seat backward.
2	Remove right and left inner door sills.
			AR68.30-P-4101MFA
3	Release door seals in right and left entrance area.
4	Remove right and left door sills.	The door sills are no longer required.

5	Remove nut on cover of lower steering shaft in driver footwell and remove cover.
6	Release vehicle interior fuse and relay module.
		Do not disconnect electrical leads.	AR54.15-P-1312MFA
	Install
7	Retrofit illuminated door sill molding wiring harness.		AZ82.20-P-0001-04MFH

8	Retrofit front left illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) and front right illuminated door sill molding (E17/48).		AZ82.20-P-0008-01MFH

		Binder Duotec® Pilz in Pilz Klett - with adhesive 32	*BR00.45-Z-1084-02A
10	Install remaining parts.
	Check
11	Carry out operational check.	Front left illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) or front right illuminated door sill molding (E17/48) is switched on by opening the corresponding front door. Automatic shutoff takes place after approx. 5 min.
	Update Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc)
12	Enter special equipment into online data card.	Code O20 (Exchangeable cover ill. door sill retrofit). When doing so, please note that the letter "O" for Oscar must be used in the first position.
13	Attach note "Front illuminated door sill moldings with Mercedes-Benz lettering retrofitted as per AR82.20-P-0005MFH" under field organization texts to DG 68 and DG 82.
