Overview

General 

The seat adjustment is used to adapt the seat to the body size of the respective vehicle occupants. A correct seat position ensures seat comfort and safety.

The various seat adjustments can be carried out mechanically or electrically.

In addition, components for improving comfort can be installed, such as massage functions or a lumbar support adjustment, for individual adjustment of the seat backrest padding for the vehicle occupants.

Function 

Mechanical seat adjustment 

The mechanical seat adjustment is adjusted by lever or handwheels. The following seat adjustments can be conducted mechanically:

• Seat fore-and-aft position
• Seat cushion length
• Seat cushion inclination
• Seat height
• Backrest inclination
• Head restraint height
• Head restraint inclination

Partially electric seat adjustment 

For partially electric seat adjustment, not all adjustments are made using the lever or handwheels. For partially electric seat adjustment, the following seat adjustments can be operated electrically using switches on the seat depending on the given model and equipment involved:

• Seat height
• Backrest inclination
• Seat cushion inclination
• Seat cushion length

Fully electric seat adjustment 

All adjustments on the fully electric seat adjustment are made using actuated electric motors. For fully electric seat adjustment, the following seat adjustments can be operated electrically using switches on the seat depending on the given model and equipment involved:

• Seat fore-and-aft position
• Seat cushion length
• Seat cushion inclination
• Seat height
• Backrest inclination
• Head restraint height
• Head restraint inclination
