| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Switch on ignition and set backrest contour as well as side bolster contour of corresponding seat in "Comfort" menu to zero. | ||
| 2 | Remove seat backrest padding. | AR91.10-P-0003MFD | |
| 3 | Unclip air cushions (1.1) from backrest shell and place to one side. | Fig 1 | |
| 4 | Detach retaining clips (2), remove air cushion (1.2) and place to one side. | Fig 1 | |
| 5 | Release felt tapes (3) along pneumatic and electric lines. | ||
| 6 | Detach pump (4) and place to one side. | ||
| 7 | Remove driver multicontour seat control unit (N32/15) or front passenger multicontour seat control unit (N32/16) until electrical connectors are accessible. | ||
| 8 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors (5) and remove electric lines from seat shell. | ||
| 9 | Remove air cushions (1.1, 1.2) and pump (4) together with driver multicontour seat control unit (N32/15) or front passenger multicontour seat control unit (N32/16). | ||
| 10 | Install in the reverse order. |
