Inner C-Pillar Side Wall Prepare - Ar63.10-P-0700-02MFB

The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. Perform work in the same way in the event of damage to the right side of the vehicle.

1. Expose spot welds at inner C-pillar side wall (1) and cut off (areas A).
2. Remove inner C-pillar side wall (1) from inner wheel well (2).

3. Grind mating surfaces at inner C-pillar side wall (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   

   Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

4. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
5. Apply zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges. onto connecting flanges that are no longer accessible after installing side roof paneling.

   Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint. Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

   

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
