Side Roof Paneling Prepare For Installation - Ar65.10-P-1020-02MFA

The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage, these steps must be similarly performed on the right side of the vehicle.

1. 1. Model 177.0

      Mark the separating points on the side roof paneling (1) and cut (areas D₁ , D₂ and D₃ ).

      

      Transfer separating points from vehicle.

   2. Model 247.0

      Mark separating points on the side roof paneling (1) and cut (areas D₁ , D₂ , D₃ and D₄ ).

      

      Transfer separating points from vehicle.

2. Drill holes with a diameter of 6 mm on the side roof paneling (1) (area E).

   

   Transfer holes from old part.

3. Deburr holes for plug welds on the side roof paneling (1) on both sides.
4. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   

   Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

5. Remove shavings and drill chips.
6. Apply zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges onto connecting flanges that are no longer accessible after installing side roof paneling.
