Remove/Install Cover On Center Console - AR68.20-P-2350MFA

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).    
2 Open armrest.    
3 Unclip inner panel of armrest cover (1) and remove screws. Model 118, 177
with code 411 (6-speed manual transmission)
SPECIAL TOOL Dismantling tool

4 Release catch hooks through openings (7) with suitable means; in this connection, slightly pull armrest cover (1) upwards.    
5 Release locking hooks (8) and remove armrest cover (1).    
6 Remove shift lever knob with gearshift lever boot. Model 118, 177, 247 with transmission 711.6 AR26.60-P-0027MFA
7 Unclip handrest cover (2). Model 118, 177, 243, 247
except code 411 (6-speed manual transmission)

8 Unscrew screws (3) and remove cover (4). Model 118, 177, 243, 247
except code 411 (6-speed manual transmission)
 
9 Remove screws (6).    
10 Lift cover from center console (5) at rear until electrical connectors can be accessed. NOTES
Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension.
This will otherwise result in damage to electric lines and can impair their function.
 
11 Release and disconnect electrical connectors. IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors varies according to vehicle equipment.  
12 Remove cover (5) from center console. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Ensure that all catch hooks (arrows A) retract.
If catch hooks (arrows A) are damaged

Replace cover (5) on center console.
 
13 Install in the reverse order.
