| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 2 | Open armrest. | ||
| 3 | Unclip inner panel of armrest cover (1) and remove screws. | Model 118, 177 with code 411 (6-speed manual transmission) |

| 4 | Release catch hooks through openings (7) with suitable means; in this connection, slightly pull armrest cover (1) upwards. | ||
| 5 | Release locking hooks (8) and remove armrest cover (1). | ||

| 9 | Remove screws (6). | ||
| 10 | Lift cover from center console (5) at rear until electrical connectors can be accessed. | Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will otherwise result in damage to electric lines and can impair their function. |

| 11 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors. | ||
| 12 | Remove cover (5) from center console. | If catch hooks (arrows A) are damaged ↓ Replace cover (5) on center console. |

| 13 | Install in the reverse order. |
