General
The central locking inside door handle switch (3) is located in the driver's door trim. In vehicles with USA version or Canada version, a central locking inside door handle switch (3) is additionally located in the front passenger door trim. Depending on the vehicle model (e.g. model 464), the central locking inside door handle switch (3) is installed in the cockpit and without integrated indicator lamp.
Function
Via the central locking inside door handle switch (3), the locking/unlocking of the central locking system can be initiated by actuating the "Open central locking system" pushbutton switch (1) or "Close central locking system" pushbutton switch (2) and the automatic locking/unlocking activated and deactivated.
The respective front door control unit reads in the status of the relevant central locking button and actuates the integrated indicator lamp.
