General 

Route guidance with augmented reality projects a video picture from the driver's point of view in the central display and enriches this with additional information from the navigation system.

Function requirements 

• No active smartphone integration

Function 

The augmented reality camera in front of the inside rearview mirror records a video image and makes this available to the multimedia system.

When the function is active, the central display shows the camera image in the following situations:

• Before and during turning maneuvers
• At traffic lights

The multimedia system enriches the video image with the following additional information by overlaying it:

• Driving maneuver arrows
• Street names
• Points of interest
• Enlarged display of traffic lights

The enlarged display of traffic lights function is only available if the vehicle is the vehicle closest to the traffic light.

The user can switch the route guidance with augmented reality function on and off via the multimedia system. They can also set what additional information the multimedia system overlays on the camera image.
