	Remove/install
1	Disconnect the ground line for the on-board electrical system battery (G1).	Model 247 with code 293 (side airbag in rear left and right) with code 567 (Vario rear seat)

2.1	Remove rear shelf.	Model 247.0/7 with code 567 (Vario rear seat)
2.2	Remove luggage compartment cover.	Model 247.6 with code 567 (Vario rear seat)
3	Remove partitioning net in load compartment.	Model 247 with code 567 (Vario rear seat) with code U40 (Safety net for luggage cover)
4	Remove mounting support for load compartment floor in front load compartment.	Model 247.6 with code 567 (Vario rear seat)
5	Fold over seat backrest of left seats (2), right seats (1), and move left seats (2), right seats (1) to foremost position.
6.1	Remove corresponding covers (8, 9, 10).	Model 247.6 with code 567 (Vario rear seat)

6.2	Release covers above screws (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) from velcro fasteners and place covers to one side.	Model 247.0/7 with code 567 (Vario rear seat)
7	Unscrew screws (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) of right seats (1) or left seats (2).	Unscrew screws (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) from right seats (1) or left seats (2) in reverse numerical sequence.
		Bolt, guide rail for rear seat to body	*BA91.12-P-1009-03N
8	Move left seat system (2) or right seat system (1) all the way to the rear.
9	Remove corresponding covers (4, 5, 6).	Dismantling tool	Fig 1
10	Unscrew screws (11, 12) of right seats (1) or left seats (2).	Unscrew screws (11, 12) from right seats (1) or left seats (2) in reverse numerical sequence.
		Bolt, guide rail for rear seat to body	*BA91.12-P-1009-03N
11	Tilt right seats (1) or left seats (2) backward until electrical connectors are accessible.
12	Release and disconnect electrical connectors from right seats (1) or left seats (2).	The number of electrical connectors varies according to vehicle equipment.
13	Remove electrical wiring harness from left seat system (2) or right seat system (1).	Dismantling tool	Fig 1
14	Remove left seat system (2) or right seat system (1).	Aid of helper required.
		When removing the left seat system (2) or the right seat system (1), do not touch any trim parts in the vehicle. Otherwise, the trim parts will be damaged.
15	Install in the reverse order.
